During the spring I step outside as if I have been living in a cave all winter long, my skin is pale, I have a layer of winter fat, and my eyes are squinting from the sun. It does not take me long before I transform from hermit to a butterfly. I try to do as much as possible outside during the spring before the heat of the summer brings me back indoors. I do not attempt to play in the water because the wind is still chilly and the water has not had a chance to warm up yet.

Add to the list! What do you like to do in the spring?

I love this list!!!!! Your statement “from hermit to butterfly” is so beautiful and poignant for this time of year, thank you for sharing. For the first time in a long time, my allergies are flaring and I’m miserable, but the annoyance is worth the discomfort knowing that flowers and trees are budding and new life is bountiful. I have several things on my 2013 Resolution + Goal List that are perfect for spring-like weather, including Texas festivals. If you find some good ones, I hope you’ll share. I’ve lived in Texas nearly 10 years and I have yet to attend a festival. Epic fail on my part!!!!!
Sending hugs and cheers for your spring,
